I’m wondering why the federal government busted marijuana clinics?

Question by Vlady: I’m wondering why the federal government busted marijuana clinics?
I know I’m a couple years late, but I remember when the government sent DEA agents to bust marijuana clinics. I wanted to know

Why did they raid those clinics if it is legal in California to smoke medicinal marijuana?

Did they bust the people, because they found patient lists, my question is, Did they arrest the patients also?

It’s legal under California law. It’s illegal under federal law.

They could arrest the patients if they so desired, yes.

Because they dont care about the people. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU!!! They want what they want not what the people want. Why is marijuana still illegal? BECAUSE OUR GOVT SELLS IT!!!! The cia has be caught multiple times shipping in cocaine. Why haven’t you hear about it on the tv or news papers? Because they are the freaking CIA the cia is part of the govt and the govt controls all the main stream media. So when a state votes to make it legal for medical reasons they send their boys in to take all of there pot and most likely resealing it. You know how many dope dealers have came out and said I got busted because i did not give my cut to the cia? Rick Ross was one of them, the biggest drug dealer to ever exist said the CIA was giving him his dope to sell. The DEA takes the bud and the cia re sales it. Probily with out the DEA knowledge of them selling it though. I dont think they arrested patients but they probily took down all the people running the store. But that has stopped their are no more raids. In november they are going to vote to make it legal. It will be interesting to see how obama acts.

It remains illegal under federal law. It’s just a matter of if/when the federal level chooses to enforce things. They usually indicate they’re only busting things that are violating *both* state and federal laws.

Sometimes clinics aren’t located in the zones they’re supposed to be, etc., so you’ll still even see city or state level enforcement alone.

I believe many of the ones raided actually don’t have proper licensing, or there are reports of use on site, customer traffic is heavier than it should be for legitimate sales, there are supposed ties to money laundering, etc. There are certainly more clinics popping up than there are supposed to be — even outnumbering Starbucks locations in some areas — so many aren’t actually operating correctly. As far as I know, they haven’t arrested any “patients,” at least not as long as they have real medical marijuana cards.

    Jack is right.

The CIA has been in the past proven to have smuggled narcotics for columbian drug lords during the 1980′s specificaly cocaine.
I think jack is a little exaggerated though.
