There’s actually a lot to making a high quality plant just like there is to any agricultural field but this one is highly specific. You should read a couple of books or articles and talk to someone at a agricultural or hydroponics store to learn more. You need to keep the chemicals in balance. You need to keep the right amount of light on the plants and there are 2 different types of bulbs to be used depending on what state the plants are in (vegetating or budding/flowering). You need to be careful keep the female plants separate from the male plants. This is probably the most important part. If you are going to hydroponics, though I wouldn’t suggest it on the first try, you need to check the balance of chemicals in the water twice a day. Even the slightest change can kill your crop or at least cause to not come out as nice as you wanted. For an operation that size (4-8 plants) I would suggest getting 1 or even 2 1000watt lightbulbs for each cycle, though you can also get lights that will cover both cycles, I don’t know how I feel about these but it may be a cheaper alternative.

There are a lot of good books out there with endless information so theres always going to be more you could learn to increase the quality of the plant, just start at the minimal and work your way up as you learn.
