Hell yeah it’s a gateway drug. Once you develop a tolerance but wanna feel high again, what do you do? Just, do the thing that doesn’t get you high anymore?

  2. taoofmichael says:

Pot is a threat to Pfiser, Merck, (and all pharma companies.) It is also a threat to Sierra Pacific and Weyerhauser (wood products,) Its also a threat to cotton and flax producers (although they would find it easier to grow, if they were allowed to try.) If you want to find the source of any illogical law in this country, they can all be traced to some corporation.

  3. smartermelon says:

The government has already legalized drugs! Just not these certain ones. Aspirin kills more people than heroin, so it’s not a life/death problem. Maybe we should have a ‘drug town’ for everyone who just wants to blow out on hard drugs (Cracktown, Smackville..)….give them whatever drugs they want and keep them there until they decide they’ve had enough. Might be cheaper than the drug war and prisons?

  4. graphicequaliser says:

It seems to me that a multitude of reasons to outlaw pot came, one after the other. The powers that be must really see pot as a threat to their power if they invented so many different reasons to prohibit its use.

  5. ehpl says:

I heard that the name marijuana was applied to cannabis as part of its demonization and racist associations with Mexicans.

Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.

  13. Faerlon123 says:

That is very very true. But on a individual basis, and on a social level, people should have the freedom, regardless of what governments do externally. I agree with you very much though, I just think, for the sake of the individual citizen, that my argument still stands.

  14. nikotinko says:

But than again there are a lot of countries that have governments that are huge army like and killing people when they choose to…

  16. kee1972 says:

wonder how many millions of lifes that are ruined since drugs are illegal…?

  17. Eidelmania says:

Wont happen because Gov. makes more money with it being illegal, via prisons, law inforcement and sales.

  18. John Gorgis says:

Also has to do with the paper manufacturing corporations

  19. borisdatzar says:

“the government loses all their revenue from police enforcement, jail time, courts, lawyers” – that’s not a source of revenue for the government, that’s an expense!

  20. akniznik says:

right…just like legal tobacco is so cheap and affordable. its a simple formula. make it legal, people grow it themselves and the government loses all their revenue from police enforcement, jail time, courts, lawyers, etc….it is illegal because it is more profitable to the government that way.

  21. borisdatzar says:

But the only reason marijuana is so expensive is precisely because it is illegal. If it were legal, market forces would drop down its price until the effort of self gardening would also not be warranted.

  22. akniznik says:

also, if you compare the cost of buying it from gov’t dealers compared to growing it yourself you may see the light of my wisdom.
the cost of buying chilli from a store is insignificant and does not warrant the effort of self gardening

  23. akniznik says:

i respectfully disagree with your opinion.
