Marijuana and Hemp are two different animals.
The illegality of hemp makes no goddamned sense until you look at why this species was criminalized in the first place. The cotton barons saw a threat to their monopoly.
Marijuana shouldn’t be “Legalized”, it should be Decriminalized and treated like the other socially acceptable recreational drugs of Alcohol and Tobacco.
We KNOW that if you use cannabis before the human brain is finished developing, it causes damage… The amount of damage depends upon the specific genetics of the individual as well as how much they use. A 15 year old smoking once a month won’t cause noticeable damage but a 15 year old that starts smoking out 3 times a day will have noticeable long-term memory issues and won’t develop emotional coping mechanisms in the vital final stages of brain development.
KIDS shouldn’t smoke weed. And I say “everyone” in that “kids” because for every one that smokes it once and a while, there’s dozens that just don’t put down the bong. The majority of retards blow it for those of us that don’t use it 24/7. Saying you’re legally an adult at 18 isn’t just some number they pulled from their butts, that’s the approximate age when the human brain finishes developing.
Cannabis/Marijuana IS A DRUG and as with all perception altering substances, it HAS CONSEQUENCES. It doesn’t destroy brain tissue like MDMA/Ecstasy and it isn’t AS addictive as coke/crack but there IS damage that can occur and this reality needs to be realistically analyzed by BOTH sides of the argument… (And ironically, Weed is legally scheduled as more dangerous to the population than Coke/Crack.)
Both sides being a) The “It’s natural man! Nothing in nature can harm you!” and b) “If you smoke a single joint you will be permanently insane and end up blowing guys in allies for crack.”
BOTH sides are made up of morons that are pushing their own agenda and willfully ignoring the facts.
The FACTS are that Weed is addictive to approximately 9% of people with the genetic predisposition for addiction. The addiction is profound and stopping using after long term abuse leads to severe sleep disturbances, emotional disregulation, and even random suicidality unassociated with depression.
The FACTS are that Weed is far less damaging to the body, mind, and society than Alcohol, which is addictive to 100% of people with the genetic predisposition to addiction, leads to violence, aggression, and acting out, and is a toxin to every cell in the body leading to brain damage, cancer, and liver/kidney problems. Alcohol withdrawal is the only substance withdrawal that can kill you.
I find it sickening that Obama is at home drinking a cocktail while thousands of people are in prison or are convicted criminals because they got caught with Weed.
As for Medicinal Marijuana… It’s a JOKE. People are just taking advantage of the system and because of the disconnect between state and federal law, if you have a medicinal marijuana card, you can face all sorts of consequences like not being able to legally purchase firearms anymore… Firearms laws are Federally Controlled and according to the Feds, weed is still a Schedule I drug and illegal so if you have a Card, you’re admitting to the use of a federally illegal substance and will be caught lying on your purchase form if you fill it out and neglect to mention use of marijuana, which will cause them to reject your application.
Weed started to cause me to experience panic attacks when I was 26 years old, so I haven’t smoked in 4 going on 5 years but as a person that has used and currently can’t due to the side effects (which are super common and predictable long term) I understand both sides of the “Argument” and I’m still in favor of decriminalization and regulation.

Hemp or cannabis sativa is a useful plant.
However, smoking the flowering tops of the plant will turn your brain into oatmeal and your lungs into charcoal. Also it will cause your heart to nearly palpitate.
Have fun…..
That hopefully will never happen.
it is legal to those people who are sick. it is where i live. you could get a card go to a store and pick up a pound if you wanted to. sometimes those stores got edibles. and hash and etc. i dont smoke though, retired.
As someone has already pointed out, cannabis and hemp are two different “creatures.”
As for marijuana, in Canada, I don’t care, I don’t live there. In the USA, hopefully never. If you think we have trouble with ALCOHOL, just add maryjane to the mix! NO THANKS!
I made that last part up myself. – Thumper
